Take Some Time

worryToo many people put off something that brings them joy just because they haven’t thought about it, don’t have it on their schedule, didn’t know it was coming or are too rigid to depart from their routine.

I got to thinking one day about all those people on the Titanic who passed up dessert at dinner that fateful night in an effort to cut back. I try to be a little more flexible.

How many women out there will eat at home because their husband didn’t suggest going out to dinner until after something had been thawed? Does the word ‘refrigeration’ mean nothing to you?

How often have your kids dropped in to talk and sat in silence while you watched ‘ Jeopardy ‘ on television?

How many times have you called your sister and said , ‘How about going to lunch in a half hour?’

How many times would she stammer, ‘I can’t. I have clothes on the line. My hair is dirty. I wish I had known yesterday, I had a late breakfast, It looks like rain’ And my personal favorite: ‘It’s Monday.’ She died a few days ago. Did you ever have lunch together?

Because we cram so much into our lives, we tend to schedule our headaches.. We live on a sparse diet of promises we make to ourselves when all the conditions are perfect!

We’ll go back and visit the grandparents when we get Steve toilet-trained. We’ll entertain when we replace the living-room carpet. We’ll go on a second honeymoon when we get two more kids out of college.

Life has a way of accelerating as we get older. The days get shorter, and the list of promises to ourselves gets longer. One morning, we awaken, and all we have to show for our lives is a litany of ‘I’m going to,’ ‘I plan on,’ and ‘Someday, when things are settled down a bit.’

Seize the moment, friend. Be open to adventure and available for trips. Keep an open mind on new ideas. Have enthusiasm for life… it’s is contagious!

Nichole loved ice cream. She might as well have applied it directly to her stomach with a spatula and eliminated the digestive process. Didn’t stop her. She would just do that much more of a workout the next day. She was a good example of someone loving life.

Now….go on and have a nice day. Do something you WANT to…not something on your SHOULD DO list. If you were going to die soon and had only one phone call you could make, who would you call and what would you say? And why are you waiting?

Have you ever watched kids playing on a merry go round or listened to the rain falling to the ground? Ever followed a butterfly’s erratic flight or gazed at the sun into the fading night? Do you run through each day on the fly? When you ask, ‘How are you?’ Is your response sincere? Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done, do you lie in your bed with the next hundred chores running through your head? Ever told your child, ‘We’ll do it tomorrow.’ and in your haste, not see his sorrow? Ever lost touch? Let a good friendship die? Just call to say ‘Hi’?

When you worry and hurry through your day, it is like an unopened gift….Thrown away…. Life is not a race. Take it slower. Hear the music before the song is over.

‘Life may not be the party we hoped for… but while we are here we might as well dance!’

Don’t Worry. Don’t Hurry. Be Happy!

An interesting perspective today, DA. Life can get complicated and our focuses can shift so easily, at times without notice. Worrying is using our imaginations to create something we don’t want, so I do my best to stay far away from that exercise!

We as humans, came into this physical realm by choice, with the intent of experiencing an expansion of our source energy, yet always striving for happiness and joy. External sources of energy from others around us almost immediately begin to challenge our intended purpose for life as a physical being. I spent the greater portion of my life not understanding the universal law of attraction, which is in play, whether we realize or understand it or not. I have spent the past few years of my life educating myself in this respect and fine life much more appealing and fulfilling if I consistently recognize where I am allowing my mental focus to travel.

Life, as I experience it today, can be a chore or it can be a blessing, depending upon how well I manage control of my thoughts. Yesterday is full of good memories and tomorrow shall bring new discoveries, yet if I focus upon my “now” each second of my existence, if I just think better feeling thoughts, my days become full of peace, joy and freedom from the bondage I once lived in. All I have is “NOW”, so allowing my source energy to continue to expand into better feeling thoughts, my life feels good and I have the excitement inside that anticipates an ever expanding reality of joy.

I’ll conclude with this quote …

“Everything that comes into your experience comes because you have chosen (either deliberately or by default) to activate it and keep it activated long enough that because of the Law of Attraction there is enough momentum to bring it into your experience.

Stuff does not just happen. There is nothing that is happening to you that is apart from your vibration, or from Law of Attraction’s response to your vibration.”
