I am going to go to the Savannah St. Patty’s celebration
on Saturday. It has actually been a week long event here.
As is tradition, the Parade begins today at 10:15 a.m. following
celebration of Mass at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.

I will take some pictures on Saturday.

Since I promised a post by the 17th, figured I had better sit
down and write something. Had to sit here and think a bit…

Count Your Blessings Day by Day and All Your Cares Will Fly Away

As of this morning, I have officially given up on the focus
of finding a new Angel. I’m going to let her find me. Instead
I am going to focus on my online entities.

I am one of those people that believes everything happens for
a reason. I know ours is not to wonder why, but to simply take the
experiences and learn from them. That’s not always easy. It’s
human nature to ask why. When we focus on the why, we miss the
what. Instead of asking ourselves why did that happen, we should
be asking what just happened. That question gives our minds
the opportunity to explore all that lead up and followed the
experience.

We concentrate more on the positives and negatives.

We see how maybe we could have done things differently… not
in a guilty sort of way, but maybe could have changed a negative
into a positive.

We begin to see new direction when our minds aren’t clouded
with the why. We put more energy into moving on after the
experience and are more comfortable with the changes we make.
We are less angry, typically resulting in a more positive
outcome after the experience.

We analyze more when we ask what instead of why…

I know what happened and I while I am lonely and
yearn for the companionship that Nichole and I had,
I am not alone. You’ll remember I said I was both in
the last post. That’s what I thought until I asked
what instead of why. I realized I have many friends
and family members that truly care about my well
being. I have Max. I am not as narrow minded when
answering the question what happened. I give myself
more opportunities to grow.

When something in life happens… no matter how
small or devastating it may be, try asking yourself what just happened instead of why did that just happen. You may be surprised at the results.
