Catching Pigs…

   Posted by: admin   in General

There was a marketing professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class.

One day while the class was in creating a project, the Prof noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept struggling with the assignment.

The young man looked at the professor and asked a strange question…

He asked: “Do you know how to catch wild pigs?”

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said that it was no joke. “You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground.

The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming.

When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side.

The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat that free corn again. You then slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn .

They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.”

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in online marketing . The gurus will keep pushing  free corn out in the form of new programs, the next best thing, , training, no obligation, follow us, brainwashing (they won’t use those words, but that’s what they do), etc. All the while slowly building the fence until they have trapped you into doing things their way… for them.

One should always remember two truths: 1) There is no such thing as a free lunch, someone (probably you!) is paying for it. 2) and when you begin to think that having program owners provide for you and make your decisions is ok, realize that you’ve also given up the freedom that goes with making your own choices and owning your own business.

If you see that all of this wonderful ’help’ as a problem confronting the future of internet marketing , you might want to inform your friends. Be the fence maker and create your own online success.

If you think a “free ride” is essential to your way of life, then you will probably ignore this blog post. But God help your marketing career when the gate slams shut!

Free corn is great, but your goal should not be to become comfortable being the wild pig, but to gain knowledge and resources so you can become the fence maker!

Going Home…

   Posted by: admin   in General

So, Abra and Joseph are on their way home :)

As we community we helped raise over 10k dollars.

Abra still has a tough road ahead of her, but at least this new

part of her journey has begun. I am proud to have been

a part of making this new chapter in her life happen.

In a world where times are tough, ego’s are high and

compassion for your fellow man seems to have dwindled…

The traffic exchange community was able to show what

caring for your fellow mankind can accomplish. We were

able to show the world by banding together for a common

cause, you can reach your goals…

Thanks to all those that played a part in this cause!

Joseph’s legacy of giving o those less fortunate or

in need… no matter the cost will live on through

our efforts. Rest in peace Joseph Riley… you will

be missed, but your mission of loving your fellow

man will carry on.

Abra, stay strong. Your husband’s caring attitude should

make you proud and your mission should now be to

carry on his mission. Our prayers and support are with you!

Joseph and Abra Riley

   Posted by: admin   in General

Have you ever been desperate and someone or a group of people stepped in to help?

Now is your chance to give back…

Many of you know, I own a traffic exchange along with several other programs here on the internet. Joseph and Abra Riley became fellow TE Owners with an exchange named Forever Concepts The whole idea behind the site was to give a percentage of the profits to Kiva an organization that helpsempower people around the world to be entrepreneurs.

They helped to raise several thousands of dollars!

While taking a vacationing from their Australian Homeland, Joseph became ill in Sacremento, CA. After a few weeks in the hospital, Josephs condition did not improve. Joseph passed away on the 12th of October. Abra is now stranded in Sacramento, unable to get her and Joseph back to Australia.

Read all the details on Joseph Riley’s  Memorial page, here… http://www.bytebutler.com/memorial/joseph-riley/

Many exchange owners have diligently gathered together to help. Help them help her… go here to buy some advertising where owners will donate profits for the Riley cause… http://kymrobinson.com/Riley/index.html

We have been busting our butts..4 of us donated $1.00 per head count and one $.025 our highest head count was 146 People. We have raised close to $2000.00. I myself have to pay out $146.00 plus % of volcanohits.com sales. Kaye Towne, Brian Shcilling, Kym Robinson, and Eric Horzwarth joined me in putting up a price per head count.

Now we want to keep it going. I have been doing this for about 36 hours now and I would love for ya’ll to pop into SWAT room and see us and chat a bit.

SWAT CONFERENCE:

Would love to see you there!

Now is your chance to feel good about yourself and help someone in serious need! Your time energy will be seriously appreciated by Abra. Joseph and Abra Riley were unselfish people that gave willingly… now lets let them know that there are others willing to do the same for them.

A memorial page has been set up for Joseph Riley here… http://josephrileymemorial.com/
